On 29th May, 2015, Spain's National Comission of Markets and Competition published reports of the 3rd provisional liquidation in the eletric sector, renewable energies, cogeneration and residues and the gas natural sector.
The reports show that this liquidation in the energy sector registers an imbalance of 128,2 millons euros less than that expected. The provisional imbalance had been estimated at -1.236,7 millons euros until March. This provisional imbalance is due to the seasonal variation between the income and the costs of the system, in the first liquidations of the year the coefficient of coverage is under (68,68% in the third privisional liquidation).
The deviation in consumer demand in this period was 42,613 GWh, 0.5% below the average value observed in previous years. Therefore the access toll revenues (2607.5 million euros) have been 2.4% lower than the historical average value (-63.0 million euros).
Mainly due to a lower cost in capacity payments (-77.1 million euros) and the cost of renewable production, high efficiency cogeneration and waste (-100.0 million euros), regulated costs have been 167.75 million euros lower than expected for this period according to Order IET/2444/2014.
For renewable energy, cogeneration and waste, the interim account corresponding to the energy generated in the year 2015 (from 1 January to 31 March 2015) by 63,922 facilities that were active in the system settlement amounts to 1642.867 million before VAT or equivalent tax.
In the gas sector the imbalance amounted to 21,319 thousand euros, which is 90.4% less. Total revenues reported by companies for billing rates, tolls and charges amounted to 757,938 euros.
